An Event Not To Be Missed!!

Pop4Diabetes June 12th till 18th 2011 is National Diabetes week in the UK.


On 19th June, Pop 4 Diabetes presents a family fun day and Summer Spectacular stage show, combined with an exhibition from a number of medical companies associated with diabetes and insulin pumps. Shane Board who suffers with type 1 diabetes and was diagnosed at age 10 will launch his brand new Pop 4 Diabetes single which has been written especially by Brit award producer Simon Ellis.


The new single. YOUR DAY WILL COME, will be released on 20th June and all proceeds will go to JDRF (juvenile diabetes research foundation) The track is Shane’s message from the heart for anyone struggling to come to terms with being diagnosed with Diabetes or any other condition and it will relate to so many people and hopefully help them realize that whatever life throws at you, you should never give up or let it hold you back from what you want to do.


Shane Board is the inspiration behind Pop 4 Diabetes and despite being diagnosed with type one at the age of ten he has dedicated his life to fundraising to find a cure for Diabetes and uses his own experiences from the past twelve years to help other people to come to terms with it.


Sony have agreed to manufacture and produce the physical copies of the CD and will send them to Universal who will distribute and will be available worldwide on all the main digital download sites. This is a great chance for anyone affected by diabetes to come along and see what is offer and learn more about insulin pump therapy with lots of fun and games and stalls for the whole family. The fun day runs from 2pm till 6pm and is free entry to everyone.


The evening show starts at 7pm and is a line up from some of the best local acts in Dorset as well as A headline performance from the first ever X factor winner Steve Brookstein and also Britain’s got talent finalists Twist and Pulse and Perhaps a few surprises !

All the proceeds from the day will be donated to Bournemouth Hospital Diabetes and Endocrine Centre and JDRF. www.jdrf.org.uk towards medical research into finding a cure for diabetes.
