Diabetes Uk/CI Research & NHS Diabetes Patient Experience Project Need Your Help!

This is an opportunity not to be missed!

Diabetes UK have asked me to help find families to support one of their current projects

This is an opportunity to help shape the future of the Diabetes Service. This can only happen if we work hand in hand. Together we can improve our service. If you meet the criteria, please consider participating in the Project.

The Diabetes Patient Experience Project aims to capture the service experiences of users with diabetes.

This information will then be used by commissioners and providers for service improvement.
In particular, the aim of this study is to test the effectiveness of a range of different methodologies in obtaining patient opinion on delivery, which in turn will be used to inform future service improvement.

The main output from this project will be a good practice toolkit to enable PDNs to replicate the survey methodologies tested in the study highlighting strengths and weaknesses of each.

CI Research are working with the NHS Diabetes Patient Experience Project. They’d love to hear your feedback on using diabetes services, your hospital appointments and what the NHS could do to make care better.

We are looking for families with children aged 16 and un
der in London, South East, Yorkshire and the Humber to get involved. This can be in a variety of ways:
• One-to-one meetings
• Video diaries
• Appointment shadowing
• Focus groups

Each family will receive a pocket digital video camera as a thank you for taking part.

This is a part of a project working with NHS Diabetes and the NHS Information Centre.
For more information on this or to get involved, email: user.involvement@diabetes.org.uk or phone: 0207 424 1008.
